Just saw this on BBC2... it really... REALLY made my head hurt, yet is strangely compulsive in an OMGWTF kind of a way.

Like Magical Mystery Python Strangelove Tour. And I have to admit to a strange degree of baffled fascination watching Ringo's hair flop about...

Where's my Python Encyclopedia. I'm sure it has something to say on the matter.

*Walking home*

LT's brain: Fah la la... it's a nice day. La la la... oh look, some small children have pitched a play-tent under the trees. How quaint...

Sound of children playing: *general playing noises*

LT's brain: ...yet unsupervised.

Sound of children playing: It's a burglar! it's a burglar! *general pointing in LT's direction* *random running around in circles and in and out of play-tent*

LT's brain: Heh. OK, I admit it... that's kinda' cute.

Sount of children playing: *whine* It's not a burglar. It's just some big fat girl.

LT's brain: ...

LT's brain: Uh huh. Thanks. Amazing how the shift from cute to obnoxious little shit takes but a second... *mentally punts small children in the ass*

As someone once so famously said, there's is nothing more soothing than the sound of children playing... until you stop and listen to what they're actually saying to each other.

And for the record kid, keep swallowing down biscuits and coca cola like that. I'll see you in about a deacde, mm'kay? ;)

I think most people today in the T-Family homestead are warm, and more than a couple of them are moderately cranky.

Me, I mostly just feel like taking a nap.

I also need to go to the post office but I can't be buggered to walk or, for that matter sit in a hot car.

Will go tomorrow when I do granny's groceries.

Oh, and on a random note... I can't remember who the hell it was that was asking me a month or so back where the hell Albany was, as in Leopold Duke of Albany... when there isn't an Albany in England. ([livejournal.com profile] katduza? Was it you? I so can't remember...)

Well, whoever it was, Wikipedia has your answer.

"Albany" was a territorial term representing the eastern part of the Scottish highlands, roughly the former Kingdom of the Picts.

Which explains why he was living in Sussex because, let's face it, the eastern part of the Highlands is really not the most temperate place to be.
