OK So... [livejournal.com profile] wolvinatrix and I are working on a bit of a side project related to the world of "My Fandon..."

Hugh, Marvel, Wolvie... actually any fandom is open but they're the only ones we have any first-hand experience of but we're willing to widen the net. So tell me...

If you had to limit it to text-only... what's your favourite "My Fandom..." type slogan?

I have to admit, currently my favourite is leaning towards "My fandom has resplendant man-breasts" but I fear probably only [livejournal.com profile] angelsnow and a handful of other people actually know WTF I'm talking about with that one. XD

So humour me, I'm curious. Tell me your fandom and tell me your favourite slogan. Even if it doesn't fit into the exact "My fandom..." mould. If it's to do with fandom and especially if it's entertaining, then tell me anyway.

Pretty pretty please with honey on top?

Fun things may come from it later... oh yes...

OK, that's just weird... there's a Viatnamese chef on TV who SOUNDS exactly like Bryan Singer. O.o

Hm, wonder if Avi'll get him to direct X3.

Back from Notts.

Only thing I can think of right now is that woah, I am tired...

But I snapped some pics for Puppy, did my next cellphoto challenge while I was at it, bought waaaaaaay too much silly goofy crap, and accidentally stumbled on the new location of the Nottingham Forbidden Planet. Which was a little disappointing despite being a really shiny new store. The old one was absolutely minescule and had weird little nooks and crannies with obscure tat in. And the old Another World had 3 levels and all kinds of junk. Merged together they seem to have made one medium-sized store with a rather sanitised collection of new stuff. Darnit I liked the old-stuff, it was like a lucky-dip. You never knew what they would and wouldn't have there.

Ah well, that's life I guess.

Mildly homogenised.

Though we defied convention TWICE and went into 2 seperate comic stores! *shockhorrogasp!*

I was sorely tempted to buy the Mirrormask script book but I am poor and it was expensive. And then I was tempted to buy the Charles Vess illustrated Stardust... but I am poor and it was less expensive but still too much offhand.

Ah well... that's life.

Now I have to star wrapping up these strange and inexplicable odments... though I still need to find a packet of biscuits and a teacup to complete the ensemble.

Cellphoto Challenge: Harmony and Beauty

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is an odd little one by dint of its own simplicity. Nottingham City Council, in a bid to deter vandalism of empty storefronts in the Broadmarsh shopping centre, has basically pasted gigantic prints of classical works of art all across the cover-boards. Each one boasts a different painting. This particular board was covering the Alders main entrance during rennovations. Ironic, probably, that an incredibly thin veneer of classical beauty covers the intense chaos that lies behind it.

Please, PLEASE tell me I am not the only one totally feeling the Doctor/Captain Jack slash at the beginning of this evening's episode...? Ye GODS. And I know Capt. Jack's modus operandi is to go forth and procreate with anything that moves (they're more adventurous in the future) but I think it was just the way they were bickering like a pre-established couple. XD

(And that's not Captain Jack as in Sparrow, that's the other Captain Jack... cause Jack Sparrow randomly turning up on a Beeb1 sci-fi series would just be weird.)

In a random and trivial moment BTW, that Captain Jack is this guy Who was in this with this guy. Thus proving everything comes back to fandom in the end.

...and also reminds me I've still not got around to seeing that, but that's neither here nor there.

*ugh* I have crap I should be doing.
