One of my PC fans is starting to make an odd, slightly rattly noise.

I think... it might be the CPU fan... cause if the chip's getting a little too warm that would explain why the machine has been acting a little strangely of late.

In other news... Paul, Mags and Dan are over... No Alex this time, I can only assume he stayed home or something, unless he's out cavorting in the back garden and I just didn't see...

So... feeling less actively crappy than this morning, but still feeling kinda slightly crappy in a passive, "I think I'll just sit here and do nothing" kind of a way. I'd like to sleep, but I'm waiting for lunch.
*sits and listens to her fan make faint, insectoid clicky whirry noises*

Could it be allergy blahs?

There's nothing out to be allergic to at the moment.

OK, that and the boywonder has a snotty, disgusting cold already, Kat was thinking she might have caught it from him and me... well I've been hanging around both of them. I'm hoping it buggers off though. Colds suck.

Oh and liquids lots of liquids... that's good too... yep... Get a scantly clad muse to fetch the liquids as you rest against your firm pre-warmed Woobie eating the citrus he feeds you and resting.

Now why was it you thought colds were bad? I'm jealous...

fans are your friends! proper care and feeding are mandatory.

i oughta know. i ignored mine. fried the processor. lost everything. drug it into work, tore it apart after one last attempt to get it to 'do' something. popped out the chip and promptly melted a hole in the surface of the workbench. it was toast. very very hot toast.

replacement fan/heat sink was a whopping $8. if only i'd taken care of it 'earlier'. of course, the chip was another matter but it was still dirt cheap compared to what i paid for it new. all those lost files, however... grrrr!

p.s. - wolvie's on the way with a sure-fire remedy for what ails you. or so he thinks. his heart may be in the right place but he's really not very good at that sort of thing, the man's clumsy as an ox. just don't let on that you know that. feel free to abuse his bedside manner in any way you choose.

*LOL*

*pets Wolvie* Your bedside manner has always been perfectly acceptable, never let anyone tell you otherwise... *hurls him on the bed*

Ahh, trust me on this, I know all to weel myself. ;)
JR burned his finger on my chip the last time the fan went. Scarily enough though it actually still worked.
