I have the sudden, deep urge to watch The Crow.
I don't think I've actually watched it for like 3 years now. Maybe 4. I think that's probably long enough between viewings to ensure it retains its impact, right?
It's one of those movies I'm mortally terrified of watching too often, cause I know that after a certain frequency of viewings then movies tend to lose all sense of emotive impact on me. Familiarity breeds contempt and all that jazz.
Does that make even the slightest bit of sense?
*looks at spankin' new DVD*

It's calling to me...

Date: 2004-08-25 02:04 pm (UTC)"We killed you..." he mutters weakly as the painful sound of ripping accompanies the unraveling of duct tape.
It's not T-Bird's life that flashes before his eyes during these moments, it's the life of the man before him. The life he thought he took away so long before. His eyes rolls back into his head in epiphany and regret. Yes, tonight IS the Night of the Devil.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if there's no coming back then what the fuck is this? And he has no true name. They use the one they were familiar with, but Eric Draven's been dead and buried for a while now. So they called him CrackHead, SickFuck, WhatTheHell?, WhoAreYou? - T-Bird knows he is his angel to send him on his way to the depths he himself had been putting people through. To Hell. This time, there WOULD be no coming back.
As the avenging angel made an orbit with the tape about the head and headrest of T-Bird and the seat, during the angel's jimmying of the drive panel of the car - it roared like a demon as he engaged the drive and the accelerator - , after lighter fluid danced and settled amongst ashpalt, T-Bird made one last plea to the God and salvation he turned his back upon so very long ago. I am finally sorry.
"And then he saw how truly terrible goodness was. And then he saw how terrible goodness was."
He repeated those words as the angel waved goodbye, as he sped towards the end, to be embraced by the licking fires of his own damnation...
(great effing movie!)

Rarely have I regretted waking up so much :-P
