I forgot just how messy a full head colour job got, especially when it involves the uber-runny excuse for a gel Manic Panic produces.
But regardless, I am now two-tone. Purple Haze at the back, Tark Tulip at the front, and I was amazed at exactly how gelatinous my old brand of dye was after so long using Manic Panic. I was surprised and pleased... and then very glad I'd done the messy back part already.
My green towel, however, is now shot to hell and back with purple. But I've had it for a long time so it's not too terrible a crisis. Plus mum got a load of new towels recently so one sacrificed to the gods of unusual hair is not too much of a problem.
I managed to keep it off the carpet at least. :p
So now... wait. Rinse. Try and exfoliate the purple off my neck... I'll refresh the front colour before the wedding. The back can stay as it is. That's part the reason for the dual-tone. The Manic panic stays true longer than the Directions, but the directions had a more appropriate colour.
*sighs* I hate waiting.

Date: 2004-08-01 11:08 pm (UTC)I just wish I didn't have the darkest of black as a natural haircolour that takes two or three rounds of bleaching before any other colour stays on O_o And the hairdresser refuses to use the real agressive bleach on me. Grr. Am dreaming of a top end all covered in grass green.
