lady_t_220Making soup for the family tonight. I was gonna' make a macaroni cheese but I opened the brand new packet of cheese and found it had blue mouldy stuff on it already... *frowns*
So soup it is apparently.
Is it me or has it been really quiet online recently? I wonder if people are hibernating in rediness for winter...
Though saying that, KAT just popped up at me before going to work, so I guess that shoots that theory in the foot ^^;
Spent 10 minutes trying to get this picture to scan right before realising I had the scanner set to Magazine as opposed to Photo... *slaps head* this would explain the blurryness...
Though saying that, this is still a crappy scan. >.< I hate it when scanners loose all the subtelty from a drawing. I'm not even sure that upping the resolution will help cause a lot of the really pale lines will probably be too faint for it to pick up properly anyway.
Bane of my bloody life... trying to get a decent scan of a pencil sketch.
My own fault of course, because I'm just far too fond of really pale lines and barely-there shading.
*faffs more with the scanner settings*

Really, is it SO hard to get a scanner that will pick up light shading? If it's not careful I'll flounce off in an artistic huff to go and prod the soup with a spoon for a while.
Might do that anyway... it's about time to add the potatoes...

OK, I give up, this is about as good as the stupid thing's going to get. I shall post it and sit here sobbing at the loss of all the detail... and whine about how the scanner has made all the shading look wrong. And how half the shading is actually missing altogether...
Damn you artistic perfectionism, I'll have no option but to frame it and post it to you personally and then get you to mail it on to the next person so everyone can get a look at a decent version... ^^;;;
