On things, and other things...
Dec. 29th, 2003 11:33 pmChar's mum is taking us to Nottingham tomorrow. I'm rather pleased I might get to find me a new shirt or two from Forbidden Planet, though I'm kinda' short of cash... :/ Will be till after January, actually.
Also There's an Another World there too (Which is now ALSO technically Forbidden Planet... though not quite, exactly) so we'll see if one or the other winds up closing eventually. My money's on the small FP in the Broadmarsh, the Another World is like 8 times the size, though I will admit it's not in such a good location.
I really need to go to bed, I have to work again tomorrow... I also have to make a start on the new years food prep too, somewhere in between the shopping and all that. God, time's rushing by way the hell too fast, and that's irritating. It doesn't give you time to enjoy any of it and it does tend to leave a lingering sensation of knowing that this used to be such a big deal and now it's just gone Woooosh right on by, hurling you back into the hum-drum once more.
I'll be glad to get back to NYC, actually, I must admit. It's like that's my actual, dedicated holiday time. That's the bit I get to enjoy, while I have 10 days of doing sweet sod all apart from stalking the Hugh and blowing my money on theatre tickets. Aparently these universally applicable holidays no longer apply to ME as time seems to have seen fit to take a running jump right over my head.
-IwillnotfeelbitterIwillnotfeelbitter- ;p~
Oh, ok, I admit I'm slightly bitter, but then I went and found this picture

and suddenly the universe didn't feel quite so bad... ;)
Still a trifle unfair, cause he may as well have "Properly of Deb" stamped across his butt (actually, I'd like to see that), but hey, at least we still get the joy of looking. That's gotta' count for something. I figure the universe can't be completely annoying all the while it keeps the eye-candy comin'.
