lady_t_220Ahhhh... day off good... slept till 11 which is even better.
I have so far done nothing at all. Which, granted, doesn't make for the world's most exciting journal entry, but hey, figured I should spread the mellow vibe or something.
Oh, though I remembered this morning that I have a dentist appointment tomorrow morning.
Bugger, there goes my lie in, which is not so great when working 7-11 at night.
Today I have the random urge to make soup. I don't know why. I think it might be because it's raining outside and that brings about natural comfort-food urges.
Soup and my "armed and dangerous" garlic bread. *drooools*
Though that means popping up to Safeways to get a french stick and frankly I'm fucking sick of the sight of the place. Much to my mum's annoyance because I refused to go shopping with her yesterday. *wails* Take John! Take John! I have to go and work there in 3 hours time, I don't want to spend 2 of those dealing with the damned groceries!
Though in a way it has its uses... at least I get insider information about what's on special offer this week...
Like last night, I commented that lemon essence was down in price to 15p. John said great... we can make Turkish deligt. I said that was excellent because the gelatin went up by 45 so what you save on the essence you spend on the gelatin instead.
Then I was forced to shoot myself in the head because I have become a hopelessly sad and pathetic creature. ^^;
So anyway... soup and garlic bread. Wonder if John feels like taking part in this venture? If I can pry him out of his book he might. Should be ready in time for dinner tonight if I do someting about it now.
Ahh, flup soup, that most lengthy of substances to create but always, always worth the effort.
(And because people are continually asking me this, it used to be called lentil and bacon soup, till my dad re-christened it "flup" in honor of the noise it makes while it boils of you make it right)
Heard from Allende last night, which was nice ^__^
Had many a strange and bizarre discussion and a resurgance of the painfully frightening WTHKOP version of Oklahoma. WTHKOPAHOMA!
