The repurcussions of fanciful flight
Dec. 27th, 2003 03:28 pmThings I learned...
Even if you think you're sober by the time you take it, popping even a single Benadryl after consuming alcohol will make you Trip. The Fuck. Out while you're sleeping... for at least a good few hours.
Honest to God, there was light and sound and movement and music and rhythm in my dream, and everything was playing and pulsing and beating in synch and it was SO fucking cool...
In the fear of falling into cliche, it was actually amazingly beautiful, but I appreciate that this is most probably not something that should be attempted again. *cough*
In other news though, went shopping this morning. Got some new jeans and a top and some puuuurple trousers because I saw them and just couldn't stop myself.
I also found The. Coolest. Ever. pair of jeans in TKMaxx. After much rooting through the sale racks, I foud some that fitted... black, zips that go right down the front of each leg, pockets and D-rings for attatching chains or dangly strappies to. I was so paifully excited. :D
I retrospect I probably shoulda' got the matching skirt too (almost floor-length) but I think I'd get a lot more wear outta' the jeans as I don't wear skirts often enough to really make it worthwhile.
Made Kat shop plenty too. She picked up a load of new tops and a maroon velvet dress for new year. It was part of her christmas pressie, see... a January sale shopping budget. We spent almost two thirds of it today, leaving enough to pick up other sundries later on. :D
So yeah... been productive. Also wore the poor Kitty-woo out but hey, it's sale time... it's like a tradition or an old charter or something...

Date: 2003-12-27 09:39 am (UTC)I wish that worked for me! I got the chicken pox a few years ago. . .had to wait for my kids to get them before I did! Anyways, I remember one night I was so miserable. I was drinking wine and swigging benadryl from the bottle. Trying desperately to pass out. It didn't work. Must've been the pox. Cuz I was trying so hard! Or maybe you can't pass out when you want to.
I'm glad you're feeling better! Got the story and will read it when I get home from work. to stay. just came by for lunch now.
