a sprinkling of trivialities

Man, I am SO wiped...
Lunch at my aunt's is, as always, a very LATE affair. Usually around 3-ish, just as everyone's passing out from hunger. Food was good though, which makes up for all kinds of sins.
My uncle is as unchanging as ever. A little greyer round the edges but very much the same as always and I was shocked and amazed to find that after 3 years my aunt has FINALLY gotten used to my hair.
But, you know, we got presents so I guess this is all good. Even if it IS the last year we'll be getting them.
Waiting around for dinner right now and then sleep... ohh, blessed sleep.
The marzipan polar bear Kat made last week was finally jointed into bite-size pieces, and in the tradition of the sick and wrong marzipan treat, we painted all the cuts with red food-dye.

I would have gotten a picture, but he's already mostly eaten.
Tomorrow though I fear will mostly be spent running around like a headless idiot so updates will be purely by luck. :p
