Jack! It's jack!
Nov. 24th, 2003 08:53 amOK, well that solves that one. Can't drive JR anywhere because my car's a solid lump of ice and he forgot to top up the anti-freeze last weekend. *heh* Oops.
Not that the anti-freeze is vital for running it or anything but couple it with the fact that it'll take me about a quarter hour to de-ice all the windows and actualy get the little bugger to start (Nataku + cold = stalling. Lots and lots of stalling) and it'll be time for me to be at work before he's even left the driveway.
So he's getting the bus. Thakfully I walk to gran's anyway.
I think winter's made a definite arrival at last, a good solid frost as opposed to miserable, shitty greyness. So from here on out we'll all be hugging the radiators.
*shivers* Where the hell are my gloves...? And for that matter, my big-assed 2-cow coat?

Date: 2003-11-24 02:01 am (UTC)I kinda like it better.. at least, when there's snow and ice all around you KNOW why you're shivering like crazy

Date: 2003-11-24 03:25 am (UTC)In other words it's better to be just cold rather than cold AND damp. ;)

Date: 2003-11-24 08:54 am (UTC)also there's less chance of you freezing to the street because you're wet and cold... that's a plus :)

Date: 2003-11-24 08:55 am (UTC)Just don't go licking any metal poles and getting your tongue frozen to them, that's all I can say. ;)

Date: 2003-11-24 09:20 am (UTC)or maybe that's just me *lol*
anyway, it was winter, I was playing hide and seek with my cousins while we were waiting for dinner.
lots of snow, damn cold and everything, and I ended up hiding behind this metal rack (?) where you hang up cloths in the garden... one of those really big ones.
and I remembered the movie with jim carry (sorry, only know the german title but I'm quite sure you know which one I mean *g*) so I touched my tongue to the metal, wanting to see if this would really work.
just for a second of course and it sticked to the metal but I could take it away with only a bit of pain so of course I got encouraged to try it again, bolder this time, putting my tongue flat against the metal...
about 15 minutes later my cousin found me, still stuck to the metal bar...
let's just say, having to eat spicy meat when you just had to rip your tongue away from a metal bar and half of the skin off your tongue is still sticking to it is no. fun. at. all.
:-/

Date: 2003-11-24 09:24 am (UTC)OK, I totally thought people only did things like that in movies... ^^;;
But then I'd guess you're talking about Dumb and Dumber, where that guy sticks his tongue to a flagpole, right...?
*dies laughing*
