A moment of Universal thought
Nov. 20th, 2003 10:51 pmAm I the only one who finds it mildly and disconcertingly odd that they're already scouting locations for a sequel when they've not even started publicising the first Van Helsing movie yet...?
I'll also admit to being mildly peturbed that they've released more footage of the darned video game adaptation than they have of the movie's trailer yet.
I mean, I gather from their bizarrely forward planning that they're anticipating the first movie to be enough of a success to warrent the sequel and the game and TV spinoff and the merchandising and everything, but for goodness sake let's remember that it'll only be a success if you remember to TELL people that it's coming out.
Are you listening to me, Universal...? A gal can only go for so long with only 1 official picture of long-haired-in-costume-Hugh, y'know. To make her go too much longer would only be strange and unnatural cruelty and therefore banned by the Geneva convention and you'll have Amnesty International abseiling through your skylights to give you a very stern telling off. You mark my words.
My only other guess would be that they're planning something big and impressive as a first unveiling and then are going to saturate the advertising closer to the movie's release., but dang it, I'm impatient.
