lady_t_220Got called by a telephone marketing guy earlier. Asked him to hold for a moment then left the phone sitting there for 10 minutes till I got bored of laughing at him behind his back and put the phone down.
He was still occassionally saying "Hello...?" now and then in a slightly confused voice which was strangely amusing in its weirdly dogged tenacity.
People need to get better jobs than that. Telephone marketing always struck me as one of those jobs they just made up so they could employ more people to keep the money circulating better.
Because they know it's not very effective. Like people handing out leaflets on streets. They just pay people so they can go out and spend so they can pay people who go out and spend which in turn pays people and lets them go out and spend.
Apparently jetlag makes me cynical. ;p
