Yikes, so I got a couple of days to fill in here I guess.
Puppy's net connection was being a little freaky and then on top of that I've managed to catch a luuuurvely streaming cold I have no immunity to (Damn you all and your American germs!) so getting online has been a bit hit and miss.
But I digress...
Halloween ROCKED. I can definitely say that it was probably the most entertaining halloween I've ever taken part in. We didn't manage to see a lot of the parade, at least not while it was parading, but we sure as hell saw a lot of people in costume as they started filtering out around the streets. Deke took about a billion photos without ever saying a word (She was Were-Silent Bob. It's amazing how many people both got that AND understand the language of Silent Bob mime).
So yeah, it was all cool. Zet got accosted by a bunch of oher nuns though she was by far the sluttiest of them all (Those hooker shoes were not to be beaten) and generally a good time was had by all.
It was a good, insane kind of colture shock purely because it's SO far removed from anyhting I've ever experienced it was just like out in the cosmos somewhere as far as English people go. It was so much fun just wandering around in vaguely lost circles, watching other people go by.
And we stopped for ice cream... ice cream is always good.
Next up... my last showing of BFO.
We got caught in hideous traffic on the way there so Eek and I had to leap off the bus and run the last couple of blocks to the theatre. We got there LITERALLY just in time. We sat down, the guy next to us said "wow, that was good timing" and whoomph, the lights went out.
*sweats*
My inner obsessive hates to be late for anything so that was, I will admit, a little too gut-wrenchingly close for me. -_-;;
But it all worked out, we were just in time and the show was, as always, phenomenal.
More phenominal still was the (Yup, you guessed it) auction part!
Because they were bribing the audience to bid more by removing Hugh's shirt along the way.
*purrrrs*
Yikes, that is one good-lookin' body...
So the whole thing was worth it just for that, cause it's kinda' cute the way hugh gets all *WTF?* when the bidding goes insane. Especially just because there's the option of a smooch. It's very sweet. :p
Anyway, hung around out back again afterwards. I'm getting good at that elbowing my way to the front thing it seems. Bumped into a lady I met there the evening before, which was cool, got tormented by Kevin the doorman (You know you've been there too much when you're not only on first-name terms with the doorman but he's also telling you you should dye your hair blue cause he's bored of looking at the pink) and then... got a T-shirt signed.
*insert happiness*
Happiness because even sans-chibi, the hair gets me recognised, and I like making Hugh grin like that.
*is odd*
So yeah, I now have a brand new BFO shirt I can never actually wear. :D
Also picked up the carols for a cure CD too, for the BFO track on that, and a couple of black BFO shirts that I actually can wear.
So overall, it's been a gooooooood trip.
I met Hugh, I got a hug, 4 autographs, a handshake and multiple recognition grinning. I'm just out there on planet Zanusi, baby.
And I really don't want to go home on monday. I wanna' hang around and see the show again *sigh*
But, regardless of what I want, I fly back on Monday, get home on Tuesday, will be in a jet-lagged coma till Friday and then I guess life goes on.
*pouts*
Though I do have a massive armful of action figures to take back with me. And many souvenirs, though sadly none of them are for other people. XD
*slaps self*
Oh well, there goes my tacking souvenir giving plan. But then I'm also somewhat broke now too, so never mind.
Maybe I'll just take everyone back some cinnamon flavour tic-tacs or something. Cause those are just freaky weird.

you are coming home *RIGHT* now!
getting a cold is ok
almost coming to late is a shame but hey, that can happen
eating too much icecream and getting lost in the shiny-ness that is halloween can be dangerous, but I see you lived through it.
but cinnamon flovoured tic tacs are just WRONG!!

Date: 2003-11-03 05:18 am (UTC)I should be home Tuesday morning so long as we're not too delayed by anything. I'll drop you a deeply jet-lagged line to let you know I got home. ;)

Date: 2003-11-03 08:37 pm (UTC)Kevin was a trip, no doubt about it. You know he's just basking in the attention he gets for being the tease prior to teh main attraction, AND being the one who "controls access" to Hugh. Cheeky bastard. ;)
