Okie dokie, [livejournal.com profile] mys1985, the digital camera is still really low on power so I only managed to squeeze one last shot out of it before the batteries died, but I had some old ones already so you can see before and after now if you want.

Oh, and a narcissistic dark self-portrtait too. ;p

Taken around lunch this time last week. I was, as usual, just playing around but I rather liked it.
See how the eyes are focused on the mirror as I squint around trying to get myself in frame? Cause the damn camera doesn't have a lens you can flip over so you can see the screen and take pictures of yourself at the same time. ;p
And yes, I said lunchtime. I know it looks like I'm sitting in the dark. *le shrug*

Before... Note the year's worth of root growth. *insert big sigh* There's nothing worse than half-assed hair. It's depressing, that's what it is.

Yeah, see now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout...
And you have no idea how good it feels to have my stripeys back in place... *big contented grin*

Currently now trying to draw a wolvie chibi rampant. It's really hard getting his damn feet in the right place.

Wow! Luminosity in neon. It looks lovely.

I still don't know if I can do this Saturday. Depends if I get paid in advance or not. Excited about New York?

Don't worry if you can't. I can catch up with you when I get back instead, and bore you stupid with my Hughstalking escapades. :p

gosh, I love the color!!! it's all shiny!

no, seriously, this is *SO* cool!
how long does it stay in?
and you *did* bleach it under the pink, right?

wolvie chibi rampant
yeah, I didn't get that the first time already so... HUH?

Yeah, it's bleached out first :D
The colour stays in about 2 weeks to a month before I have to dye it again, but that's not so bad to keep on top of all the while my roots aren't down around my ears.

And as to a wolvie chibi rampant...

It's all to do with heraldry. You know, coats of arms and stuff. Having something or other "rampant" on a sheild means it sits in the middle of the design. Usually it's animals and things, looked at side-on, and stylised like all sheilds and things are.
Right now I'm trying to get a super-cute cartoon wolvie into the same pose as a heraldic lion so I can have him "rampant" on a sheild, but his arms are a little too short to do it properly... :p

Well colouring your hair is a gooood thing to do.

I have Fudge bran colour on right now, but I've had L'oreal V-colour, Directions and Manic Panic before.
The L'oreal was salon colour though. Directions and manic panic last a couple of weeks usually, so long as you're not washing your hair EVERY day.

yeah, coloring *IS* good but now if your hair is about to fall out already *lol*

the problem is, with all the hockey and stuff I wash my hair at least four times a week... which isn't *all* that good for the hair, anyway so... *shrug*

Hm... well dye pots like manic Panic are conditioner-based so they don't actually damage the hair.
Once you've dyed it, you can add a big glob into your bottle of conditioner, then every time you wash your hair it refreshes the colour a little. Keeps it going longer that way.

well they *write* that on the stuff I use, too but I don't think it actually works *whine* ;)

From: [identity profile] lady-t-220.livejournal.com
You have to add quite a lot... You can usually test to see if there's enough dye in the conditioner by smooshing a little onto your hand. If it leaves a slight stain then it should work.

well, the things I use always have a TINY TINY bottle with conditioner for *after* the dyeing (that looks wrong but I'm too lazy to try and correct it *lol*)

Ah, that's a whole different kettle of fish. :D

These are dye pots specifically for adding ludicrous colours to pre-bleached hair. It's just coloured goop basically.

*hmmm* I think I know those... you don't get them in switzerland, when I want them I always have to order them from germany *sigh*

Awwww, that's sucky. They're all over the place here, though I find the best ones come from America.

aren't they the same brand? :-/

From: [identity profile] lady-t-220.livejournal.com
No, there's 2 that I use regularly. Manic panic, which is American though CAN be bought here. And Directions, which is English.
They have different colours in them so I pick depending on my mood, but they're the 2 I usually end up with.
