Pointless ramble
Sep. 24th, 2003 06:26 pmAh, so, after an elongated day of doing not an awful lot, I return once more to the home.
I don't have a lot to say really. I picked up Nickelback's new album cause it was super cheap from Andy's, and then generally hung out with Char after I was done with work.
All verruh unexciting stuff.
JR brought home bootlegged copies of that Vin movie XXX and The Ring. I think he borrowed them off Jules. At least I hope he borrowed them and didn't buy 'em cause the disks are all scratched to buggery. OK, that and I don't like Vin and don't hold too well with bootlegs. (If I like a movie enough to want a copy of it, then I have to like it enough to want a Proper copy... but mebbe that's just me.) But anyway... yes, adding insult to dodgy movies, scrachy disks.
And man, that hits on my big pet peeve. *twitches* scrachy disks and people who stick the wrong CDs back in the box. Both of which are obsessions my mum finds highly amusing. My brother does it too though, as does Char. Her mum and mine often sit and ask each other how they managed to raise such anal kids.
I say it's natural throwback. She was a hippie child of the 60's with freedom and revolution on her mind, ergo her children must rebel by being uptight and obsessed with the materialistic condition.
That and we were raised in the 80's. Some of that self-absorption had to stick, cause the 90's were just as bad. ;p
Ahh, yuppies with brick-shaped mobiles, how we strangely miss laughing at you.
Man my new chair is so damn comfy... I nearly fell asleep in it last night it's that squishy and good.
Though being leather-ish I will admit my legs do unfortunately stick to it if I'm wearing PJ shorts. :p
