Had to get up early to drop JR off at work and by the time I got back was profoundly uninspired by the range of Friday morning breakfast foods. (leftovers from the rest of the week and the crusty bits from the end of the bread) so I baked some scones instead.
Not an orthodox choice of breakfast but none the less delicious when oven-hot and smothered in fresh creamery butter
[/Leopold impression]
Actually there weren't many of them and they came out a tad rich, but we were almost totally out of flour which explains away both points realy.
However, that said, they still tasted good. I just wouldn't recommend eating more than 2 of them before you start feeling kinda' full.
So that's my morning so far. Dead exciting stuff as you can see.
Oh, and have discovered that the first track on AFI's Sing the Sorrow when played at anything more than low LOW volume has so much bass on the downstairs stereo that it makes stuff in the boywonder's bedroom shake.
Heeeeeeee...
On the system upstairs it's much more trebble-intensive but downstairs... ohhhhhhh baby... It's the kind of low rumbling growl that usually gets described as "bowel-loosening". If you stand too close to the speakers you can feel your organs vibrating... XD
Technically it shouldn't do that, but the speakers need reconditioning and they've started skewing more and more towards the bass. So it's not "right" in the hi-fi nerd kinda' sphere, but it IS damn good fun. :D
Oh and Hugh's Oklahoma Cowboy Hat is up for auction on eBay for charitable purposes. If you have a couple of hundred dollars to spare, that is.
All I can say though is dude, that's one beat up looking hat.
*glances at HJ* Man, what were you doing to it... XD

Maybe the perm destroyed the hat molecules slowly over time. *snerk* Either that or he danced and sang and threw around and stepped on and sat on and otherwise abused the poor thing so it'd look like a real cowboy's hat.
