Mmmm... ham...
Aug. 17th, 2003 03:04 pmOhhhh, we just had the best ham for lunch...
Mum finally got so sick of not geing able to find anything in the stores apart from reconstituted *formed*, waterlogged and preservative-pumped sliced meats that she gave up and made her own.
That was damn good ham.
"I stuffed in a few sprigs of rosemary," she said, dragging it out of the fridge.
It was less stuffed with a few sprigs as it was impaled with an entire branch, so far as I can see, but it sure tasted good... once you could pick your way around the greenery.
She has her heart set on tongue next, though personally tongue squibs me out somewhat. But she used to do all this cooking type home economics stuff way back before us kids took up all her time and she's finally grown disillusioned enough with mass-produced food to want to do it again.
She's angling for an allotment, apparently, but I think that one's going to have to wait till she's got a little more free time.
Though I do keep reminding her you can grow spuds in a buckt. Alan Titchmarsh said so. ;P~~#
Eh, work tomorrow... Don't want to go...
Want to stay here and draw the 3rd sketch for the living room, which I don't seem to have the energy to get started on today.
