[livejournal.com profile] whimsicalnotion, I want you to know that I stand by what I said in my last e-mail... I really do have a lot of things I ought to be doing.
It's just that... uhh... I'm not.
See apparently... well apparently I'm either a slacker or a glutton for punishment, I'm not certain which, but it seems that my muses like a challenge.

Yes... a challenge...

The biggest challenge right now is the fact that my scanner is, once again, being a colossal jerk, (Buying a new one is high on my agenda, right after getting a job that pays) but right after that comes the unfamiliar subject matter challenge, the "this is sooo not my fandom" challenge, and the all-important ludicrously high expectations of myself challenge. ;p

Gotta' love that last one...

Anyway, due to the fact that my scaner doesn't recognise light skin tones, and also due to the fact that this one has a LOT of light skin tones cause the source photo I was using was very pale, it's a lot more washed out than it should be and I can't seem to make it any less so. :/

That and, you know, like I said when we met, it's pre-programmed into me to automatically dislike pretty much everything. XD

Uh, anyway I'm waffling.

I want to tinker with it a bit more tomorrow when I have some actual light again but till then you can see the sort of half complete though very annoyingly faded

Edit: The contrast is all shot to snot too... my scanner really does hate me... :p

Hows this look

Oh hon it's gorgeous! And the adjusted contrast by [livejournal.com profile] stir_of_echoes does make a big difference. Is that what you had in mind?

At the risk of incurring a flame-war I have to say I'm fairly certain the male next to him is Riley Finn. I'd know that body anywhere. (Just for the record; I love Riley Finn so there. Bobs tongue out at ... well the rest of the planet. It isn't his fault the writers hated him.)

You should be a slacker or glutton for punishment more often; I love the way that Spike's hand curls over his shoulder and the way he's resting his face on 'Rileys' hand. It's very tender yet powerful, what with the muscles and could I just get in between them now please?

Heee...
Well I'm going to tinker with it some more after work today but I'm hoping to get a final version out soon-ish.
The exact problem at the moment is that there's a lot of stuff on the drawing that's just not showing up on the scan. I'm going to have to darken some of the really pale pencil areas just to make them visible.
But yeah... glad you like. ;)

*snicker*
Just yesterday I watched 'out of my mind' and 'No place like home' and damn, I was LIKING Riley and feeling for him *sigh* I've got it bad... *lol*

Riley has the bod of a god and he's a big ole teddy bear who would wrap you in love. As long as you love him back of course; wouldn't want to be the one who sends him to the vamp hos.

You're probably going to hate me for saying this, but he always reminded me strangely of a labrador. In the same way Bryan Singer reminds me of a cocker spaniel puppy.

Ahem er ... I have to agree with you there. Not that I've ever thought that a labrodor had the bod of a god.

Agreed, plus he didn't mind being led around as if on a collar and lead either ...
