Oh God, I love this quote from a recent news story on yahoo UK. It was about the effect of social drinking on your career prospect but just the last line... :

A recent survey shows that if, instead of binge-drinking, you steadily soak yourself in alcohol, it has no impact on your earnings

*dies laughing*

So there you go. Slowly pickle yourself over the course of 40 years. You might just get a promotion out of it.

I don't doubt it. I spent a semester in London and Oh my God people can fucking drink over there. They drink more than in even Wisconsin, where all there is to do is watch the Packers while having a cold one.

It's cause we start early, that's why. ;) The 'legal' drinking age of 16 is, really, somewhat just a suggestion.

And that's for consuming alcohol publicly. In your own home you can start as young as you want... which, dutifully, everyone does.
