Well, the meds seem to be working for Roxy at last, though she is such a massive ham it's sometimes hard to tell. She sits on the floor and whines pathetically till someone pets her even though she's way more perky today. At times she refuses to get up unless you take her lead out the box, when she'll get straight up without so much as a second thought. She happily shoots up and down the stairs with no trouble... until she remembers that she's supposed to be acting pathetic and then hobbles a bit, looking guilty.
Apparently she's figured that we're suckers. ;p

Apparently she's also figured that people actually take table scraps directly to her as opposed to putting them in her bowl if she acts all wan and useless, so naturally wan and useless has now become a fixed expression.

Except for when she's looking cranky because mum's laughing at her and calling her a drama queen. :D

Let's see if LJ let's me comment today

I'm glad to hear she's doing better and that the pain isn't as troublesome for her.

She sounds like she has a great character, real doggy oscar material *g*

When I was growing up our Labrador was run over, breaking both hips and one of her legs. She got so used to the attention while she recovered that she became completely useless after. Years later, if she was being scolded she'd let her legs go out from under her and try to look like she was really in pain. That dog had talent.

I'm glad to hear your pup is getting better!

Heeeee...
She's jumping around barking at the front door right now. Give her 10 minutes for JR to get home and she'll be lying there whimpering and being pathetic again. :p

Hooray! Medicated and hamming it up is so much better than being in pain. {{{{Lady T and Roxie}}}}

So glad to hear Roxy-doggy's feeling better. Hope the upward trend continues.

Oh, and we need more pictures of Roxy. ;)

Yes. We do. The royal we.

As in "we would find the world so much more comfortable if everyone would just cater to our whims."

That kind of we. ;)
