This, that, work stuff
Jul. 24th, 2003 04:21 pmOh heck, so behold my total inability to remember to make a post today...
Work was blah as usual. R's going on holiday for a week starting tomorrow so friday is going to suuuuuuuuuck, but never mind. I keep telling myself it's only temporary.
Went to town after work, picked up some more picture frames so I can continue my quest to replace the horse above the fireplace with something more contemporary and discovered that Geoff's Toys was hiring again so I dropped in my CV.
*crosses fingers*
They're looking for full days Friday and Saturday with occasional fill-in work during the week. It's roughly the same amount of hours as I'm doing now, just cramed into fewer days, which will be nice for a change.
Would make going to the city on a Saturday impossible, but as you'd have like, the rest of the week off then it's not really an issue.
It's the 3rd time that job's come up y'know. It appears, it vanishes, it appears, it vanishes... it's appeared again. They must be having trouble keeping staff or something. I dunno.
Either they've just not found the right person or it's a really craptacular job. But then again, it can't be any more craptacular then the job I do now and it's much less likely to involve vomiting Spaniards.
*shrugs*
Plus... toys, toys are good... staff discount on Wolvie figures when they get them in, that can't be bad. ;p
(Because 29 plastic Wolvies just isn't enough!... I need to get another one just to make it up to a nice round number now.)
Ah, but then it's all theory anyway... again I say no retail experience, so... *shrugs*
