glad tightenings and seasonal greasings
Jul. 21st, 2003 01:30 pmIn answer to what will undoubtedly be
katduza's first question, the answer is "No, not yet".
Work was actually almost ok. It was quiet, see, so we only had one guest in which means the rest of it was spent doing all that deep cleaning I totally didn't get round to in the past 4 weeks. *cough*
Now, normally I don't like doing that, cause I usually end up having to do it on days where we have a lot of other work going on as well, but it wasn't too bad today. I did rooms 2 through 5, couldn't do 1 cause it'd just had a coat of paint put on part of the bathroom wall and anyway, 4 hours of scrubbing skirting boards is enough for anyone. The rest of it I'll spread out over this week, though I just KNOW I'm going to have to go back and do it all over again in a few days time.
See, this is the thing... the futility of it all doesn't actually hit me till I get home again. *smacks head*
I need lunch, I'm about ready to keel over here...
My neck has a funny twinge in it today, though that's definitely due to sleeping weird, and my fingers are sore from the scrubby pads and cleaning agents. We have new, lemon scented spot-cleaner you see, which doesn't so much foam like mad as foam like complete screaming insanity. It's rather hard to get rid of...
