Several reasons for owiness today, and I promise I'm not going to be a miserable cranky person regarding ay of them, really I'm gonna' try my hardest...
I'm wondering what the on-again-off-again headaches are about. It's either stress or the heat. Maybe a little of both. My shoulder is still on the fritz though nowhere near as bad now as it was when I first got up this morning, and now my knee wants in on the action.
Stairs in particular are causing unpleasantness, starting with aches and stiffness in both knees first thing which after walking around a bit eased out of one and settled firmly in the other.
Evidently I really am falling to bits. :D
So, popped to Leicester and ended up chatting to the guy in magic lab and this other bloke who happened to be in there. Student bloke I think I've seen before, but he was asking a bunch of random questions about X-men. The guy behind the counter is a big Wolvie fan (who named his son Logan, I believe) though freely admits that he's not read any Wolvie comics for over 6 years because he's just not had time. He's GOT them all, he just ain't read 'em. So he feilded historical questions and I ended up picking up anything relating to the past 3 years and I think between us we managed to thoroughly confuse the poor student who was asking.
I said to my mum that I'd spent a happy 15 minutes talking to this guy I met in Magic Lab and she instantly assumed that I was trying to get off with him.
I'm like, uhhh... no... we were being comic book-y and really quite nerd-like.
*frowns*
Not that he wasn't alright to look at and he seemed quite pleasant and all, but y'know... *shrugs* It's not like it was a birds-sang-and-flowers-bloomed epiphany deal or nothing. I didn't ask who he was, he didn't ask who I was, we chatted and we went our seperate ways probably never to knowingly meet again. But I think my mum's angling to get me out of the house or something... XD
Ah, what else... HMV were having a sale, so I got Edward Scissorhands on DVD for half price. it's been a long, long time since I last saw it all the way through so I figured why not...
Oh, and there was also a truly awful TAS-based Wolvie figure in Another World, but he was only a fiver so I thought what the hey. Add him to the others, and he has a light-up claw blaster shooty thing. :p
*is easily amused*
So, comics I got...
Wolvie #3 - I'm slowly getting used to the fugly artwork I think. I still don't like it, but I'm getting used to seeing it. I read it on the train back home but I think the plot's gotten a bit twisted up in my head with something unrelated I was reading earlier in the week, but never mind. I'd quite like the pace to pick up a little I think. It was good and moody to start with but I'm evidently feeling impatient right now.
Actually, what I'm feeling is impatient for the next issue of Ulti cause I'm really loving the Wolvie/Spidey interaction in that one...
Talking of which-
Spiderman/Wolvie #2 - OK, I will admit it, the storyline is a bit kinda' yeah yeah, whatever, Wolvie got yet another notch in his bedpost (Which by now is probably whittled down to about the size of a matchstick... "In and out. In and out" indeed), but damnit, it made me laugh... The insult-flinging in particular I do enjoy and, while I still care very little for Spidey in the greater scheme of things, I do rather love the antagonistic relationship these two share. I rather like the bit about the llama too... XD
Hm, so after that mum and I got the groceries because she's taking JR out somewhere or other tomorrow, and then... well I guess that brings me back to right about now.
Knee is still ouchy, head is still ouchy, shoulder is actually ok on the most part, and I need to clear all the laundry off my bed if I'm going to have any chance of actually sleeping there later. ;)
