Behold my cognitive powers! Or something... It went pretty much like I figured it would.
Mum called me on my mobile while I was in Leicester, demanding that she couldn't want any more and could I pick up the new Potter book before she exploded with the anticipation.

So I got it on her card and the boywonder snatched it off me as soon as humanly possible.
He's supposed to be doing some repairs in the kitchen today but somehow... I don't see it happening,
He's also pretty much determined to spoiler it, I can see that glint in his eye.
BW: Wow, it's only page 5 and he's already-
LT: Shut the hell up!!!
I'm going to guess I'll be the last toi read it, probably cause I have currently the attention span of a fruit-fly and it'll take me a while between other pursuits. :p

Oh and of course this week's comics... I agree with haremmistressdd, it's shameful and awful and wrong that you can have a comic that has nekkid, NEKKID wolvie in the first 2 pages and yet Robertson has made him SO God damned freaking UGLY... >.<
*beats Robertson with a stick*

Though, the Wolvie/Spidey crossover wasn't too bad. Not really wild on Spidey so the first bit is kinda' yeah-yeah-whatever but hey, the ending's OK. Totally-worked-over-tied-to-a-stake-jungle-Wolvie and I like the ever so slightly goofy grin on the last page. So at least there's a silly grin, some angst and maybe some fodder for that jungle warfare fic Kat was writing at some point... :D

And now... lunch

This is where the artist would bitch at you that Wolvie is supposed to be ugly. *shrugs* Sometimes artists are stupid like that ;)

But Wolvie was never ugly... feral or rugged or animalistic or even craggy, yes... butt ugly noooo...
If he'd always been that creepy and manky looking he never would have slept with virtually every woman in the Marvel Universe. Tyger Tyger would have booted him outta' bed and, let's face it, even Mystique wouldn't have lowered her standards that much. Mariko never woulda' looked at him twice let alone agree to marry a garden gnome...

And while he may only be 5'3" and therefore a whole inch shorter than me, the way he's being drawn at the moment, he either lives in a world full of +6' people or else he has reeeeally shitty posture. XD

Yeah... I want Chen back... he may have been short but at least he was proportional.

I mentioned (okay, whined about) that at my shop last week and the comic guy said, "Oh no, I think it's great. The artist is really showing how Wolvie struggles against the weight of the adamantium."

If my eyes rolled back any further they'd fly out of the back of my skull.

And he's only having difficulty with this NOW? I thought that's what the astoundingly buffed-up physique was supposed to be about.
Of course Robertson's making him look a little porky too, but I think that's mostly cause he's been squished downwards. :/
