I have Evanescence's "Touriquet" stuck in my head this morning...
Oh, spoke to Rachie last night about what's going on on Saturday. She's got herself a job at Morrison's (Bad idea for a start, but then she worked in a slaughterhouse, I suppose it could be worse) so she's at work till about 1 on Saturday. We're all trolling off to this anime convention/exhibition thing in Leicester Uni and then apparently going to Retribution directly after that.
*looks both inimpressed and underwhelmed*
I really don't want to go. Plus I have a hard time believing we'll be able to amuse ourselves at this anime thing for like 6 hours without getting mind-numbingly bored. Hell we've gone around the entirety of the NEC bike show in just over 4 hours and that included sitting on all the really cool machines.
Also it leaves no time for getting changed and apparently unlike Rachie I'm not wild on changing my outfit "in a random pub loo".
Save me, it's going to be a horrible evening.
Glasshouse are playing at the Vic on Friday night. So at least that's something to look forward to. Why couldn't she insist we go to that instead? Hang out with the band, drink the really nice pub drinks... not have to put up with annoying pseudo-goth skater punk, baggy trousered moron teens...
"But the guys are really cute!" she says... Yeah, cute like Jason was really really cute, and he was uuuuuuuugly... he was also an unrelenting arsehole, and indeed still is. She's not filling me with confidence here.
Have to phone Charlie tonight. See what's happening on that end cause I can't imagine she's really any more enthusiastic about this than I am.
And while I admit that I'm not overly keen on the idea of clubbing, I was growing reconciled to it. Now it seems like it's both clubbing AND a really badly thought out plan.
Someone should stop Rachie from organising events, they usually degenerate into chaos.
