Photos of stuff
Jun. 2nd, 2003 06:15 pmOK, I like all of these a lot better when they're really huge onscreen. The details are, I think, the nicest part, but for the conveniance of people in general I've shrunk 'em down.
So without further ado, LT's random post-storm photography

Right after the storm last night. I wasn't really sure how they'd come out but the flash seems to work quite well on close up things.

Another late-night bit of point and click. I left the side empty cause I figure it'll be nice for putting a message in that space when I, undoubtedly, end up using this shot as an emergency birthday card for my mum.
Hey, she likes the home-made cards and it saves me money, so no one's complaining...

Taken this afternoon just after I got back form work. The outside of these roses looks almost black when they first bloom. Verruh nice plant.

Little shot of the trailing thing that's growing up the boywonder's screens. They only went in this year so the coverage is still kinda' spartan, but they're all growing well so in a couple more years it should be nicely festooned.

A pretty blue cascade thing that's trying to escape across the patio...

I used to like these as a kid... they tend to dehydrate rather easily though we've found, so thankfully the storm came just in time. They were looking a little wilted yesterday morning.

Date: 2003-06-02 12:49 pm (UTC)Blimey, we just stick ours in and try not to let the dog trample them to death. But then we live on almost solid clay and the roses seem to like that.
Sorta' flick off the aphids when they get bad and then leave them to their own devices.
But then it does rain plenty around here so that probably helps.
