In a moment of creative clarity
Jun. 1st, 2003 09:22 pmSo those storms I wasn't convinced we'd be getting...?
We got them.
We also left the kitchen door open and the floor got flooded within the first 10 minutes. Literally. Though it's kinda' fun to splash in puddles inside your own kitchen to be truthful, even if it is a little odd.
But after all the relevant fun was extracted from that I was left with a moment of total boredom as I naturally had to turn off the 'puter while the lightening did it's thing. And without my puter I am as a junkie without the neccesary $$s for a fix. ie, lost and ever so slightly pathetic.
In a moment of alarming forethought though, I had actually printed out one of the stories I was working on so I could flick through it in paper format which proved distracting enough to make it through the worst of the weather.
I did however, get some pretty nice photos of the garden done after the storms ended. It was getting kinda' dark so the lighting looks intriguing and the roses were all wet and atmospheric...
But then the batteries on the camera went flat and now I can't download them till they recharge... *slaps head*
Random photographic moments = Great!
Flat batteries = A big pain in the arse.
Might get some daylight ones done tmorrow if the weather's good when I get back from work. Most likely it'll still be raining but it's worth a shot.

Date: 2003-06-01 07:01 pm (UTC)We had a power surge (my pc monitor clicked on and off five times) then we had a three hour power cut. Of course, when I can't sleep I want to surf! Torture!
