lady_t_220So, I think I must have been tired... Went to sprawl out nice and comfy like while I watched some TV... and then promptly woke up an hour and a half later, fully disorientated with no recollection of actually going to sleep at all. In fact I didn't even get as far as turning on the TV. Which is a little scary, but there y'go. Too many nights of too few hours sleep finally caught up with me it seems.
Either that or it was aliens, but I think the neighbours might have nticed that.
Now I'm kinda' overly warm and really rather thirsty.
News report on the radio on the way to work today, there's a local-ish guy who's caused a weird kind of seige situation after locking himself in his apartment with a gun. The police are after him for some kind of crime or another and now he won't come out. He's been in there 2 days already so it seems.
He doesn't have any hostages or anything, just himself and a handgun. And for this they've closed off a large chunk of the neighbourhood till they can get him out.
Now, not that I'm a one for exactly condoning our American counterparts and their gun weilding police force, but you gotta' say this never would have taken so arsing long to resolve if they could do more than stand around and talk at him till he gives up.
Granted it could also lead to a gory and spectacular bloodbath and a senseless waste of human life, but I guess you can't hope to have it both ways.
Hmm, seems random naps make my brain work in funny ways. I have a random urge to write something involving Stockholm Syndrome now.

I can't start another fic right now, really really I can't, I have too many WIPs to keep track of as it is... *whines*
Now if I could just finish this other darned AU...
