Fic rambling
May. 27th, 2003 10:52 pmSo, in the realm of the inexplicable, even though I've only heard half their album that I can recall, I've had Murderdolls lodged in my head all evening. At least I think it is. If it's not then it's something off the Queen of the Damned soundtrack but as I don't offhand have either I can't really check.
Strange how stuff like that happens.
Wrote about another quarter page today. I think I've stalled again though. I finally FINALLY decided where I want the story to go, I finally thought of a way towards an ending even, I'm just grappling with the 1st person POV because it's not something I've written in what must be 4 years now. And to top it off it's a female POV, not something I've ever been notoriously good at dealing with. I'm fighting the urge to sidetrack off and write Wolvie POV in the middle of it all which sort of defies the point of the excercise really.
Kat says I should relax and admit it's probably one of those stories that will never get finished, but I refuse to give in that easily, damnit! I've only ever totally abandoned one story and I still might go back to that one when I can come up with a secondary plot line to weave through the first one. And the enthusiasm to actually do it.
*thinks*
What's really clogging it up is the fact that I have a theme that I want to explore and not enough story to weave around it. Not unless I shift to 3rd person for yet another interlude or let my Wolvermuse have a spin on the narrative.
I think I'll have to go for the minature variation on a theme instead. That could work...
I hate sticking in interludes without real cause.
