lady_t_220Finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 this evening.
SO. MUCH. FUN.
Also baby Groot is an adorable little chump and Rocket his trash-panda daddy.
Also-also Howard The Duck cameos just slay me, every time. As did THE HOFF! Jesus Christ.
Regarding the ending though... Unashamed to say I cried like a little bitch. Often with mirth but then EMOTIONS, then mirth again, then BOOM, right in the feels.
Yondu not delivering little!Peter to his father in the first movie I always really disliked. Not as a narrative device or anything, but as a horrible event happening to a traumatised little boy, seemingly for no reason. It really tweaked my sense of injustice and I always found that part quite hard to watch. And then they went and made it all noble and self-sacrificing and redeeming and shit.
I'M NOT CRYING IT'S JUST RAINING ON MY FACE.
Cause you know if Yondu hadn't done it, Ego would have sent someone else to get Peter instead so he'd still have been abducted regardless.
And just... aaugh. *flaily hands*
Sooo, anyway. It was good. Also there were trailers for Thor Ragnarok, Kinsgsman 2, Star Wars VIII and Justice League which all look various levels of crazyface and ridiculous and awesome.
