*twitch* caffine...
May. 24th, 2003 12:25 amIt's getting kinda' late but I do just have time for a random, pointless observation.
If you try hard enough, it is possible to songfic, literally, anything.
As KAT will attest after the overtired-punchy-caffine-induced ramble about this I sent to her some 14 months ago. All about how you can songfic the entirety of Silver Side Up but not The State, because The State doesn't have enough cliches.
I rethought that one and figured that actually you could, you'd just have to broaden your character base a little.
But this is beside the point. Brain's gone a little strange. I should go to bed before I write another one of those long explanations (with examples) of how you can songifc an entire album entirely with L/R 'ship cliches.
(No, really, listen... "It's easier to run, replacing the pain with something numb"? It's just screaming for it...)
XD *snickers* Ohh, she never let me live that down. I blame the caffine
Just for the record, I really don't like songfic. I refuse to write it because I don't like reading it unless it's been very cleverly disguised. When it really ceases to be songfic and just becomes a fic with a soundtrack...
I just enjoy the mental excercise involved in digging out enough cliches to fill 45 minutes of album space.
*is punchy and weird tonight*
