Sep. 29th, 2011 02:44 pmDamn it's hot today. Why is it so freakin' hot? It's supposed to be autumn!
Last load of bed linen's finally in the machine. Should go out on the line shortly. Not sure if it'll be dry in time to go back on the bed but, oh well. (Note to self, go to Dunelm and buy more bottom sheets. Seriously. Two in rotation is fine, but when one of them is going to holes it really only counts as having one that's actually functional. Though considering they were identical and bought at the same time fron the same batch, I do not know why one is so much deader than the other...)
In other news, mum is apparently going to invite Science Guy over for dinner the weekend after next. I cannot remember if I have mentioned Science Guy in a public context but, suffice to say he's the guy mum job-swapped with. He used to be her technician while she lectured, now she's the technician (semi-retired) and he's fumbling through his first year of teaching. Mum has decided therefore that he looks like he needs adopting. She has a weakness for single men in need of feeding. (This trait, it should be added, is genetic. I haven't had someone new to cook at in AGES.)
