Monday morning... feels more like a Wednesday afternoon. The long bit of Wednesday afternoon that just... won't... end...

Fuck me, I'm bored.



So, anyway... Going on holiday next month. It was looking a bit iffy for a while there but no, we are definitely going. Headed to Norfolk, to the beach, on a self-imposed artsy retreat-ish-thing. Which means we're probably actually going to spend a lot of time talking bollocks and not doing anything, but at least the option is there. Plus it's nice to get away for a bit. I miss travelling. I'm still kind of bummed I didn't (and won't) get to see Mr Huu doing his musicals thing on Broadway this year but between ticket prices, demented air-fare prices and the increasing ugliness of airport security I currently lack both the funds and the bloody-minded inclination to set myself against them.
For once, Norfolk will actually do.

I'm with you, sister. Circumstances are such that I don't think I'll see Huu either. It would be different if the husband actually had a job that paid him something. I'm trying not to get really pissed off about it, but am losing that battle, I think.

To be honest, I'm not as upset about it as I might have been. I'd be more pissed if I was missing a big show or awesome play, but I'm not a fan of the old musical standards he seems to favour which makes it a little easier to bear. That said, I've already given up on seeing it twice before (San Francisco and Toronto) so at this point it's like... eeeh, whatever, it's not gonna' happen. I shall go and distract myself with something UK-based cause it's cheaper.
If he brings it to London I might re-evaluate, but even that's iffy to be fair. Maybe if I get that lottery win...
