Gip and stuff

It's a tribute to my random photographic side. Despite my dislike of spiders, it's a really nifty picture I managed to take. You can see all the details of the web and everything on the big version. So there y'go.
Sorry to the arachnophobic on my friends list. I'll change it before too long.
Meeting C and R to go into the city tomorrow. I need to poke the guys at magic lab a bit about somethign that may or may not be in my box, depending on whether the freaky haired guy remembered to look on Saturday or not.
I was kinda' drunk. I don't remember if he checked mine or just Charlie's. Seing as he tends to forget my name, it could have been the latter.
Anyway, I had a stinking headache and just wanted to go home, so *eh*
Now for the pointless part:
LT's Album o' The Week
This week I have mostly been listening to Boysetsfire's album Tomorrow Come Today.
Those with the Daredevil OST will know 'em from Highwire escape artist. Those who don't have the Daredevil OST, Boysetsfire are not the same as Boyhitscar though their names can look vaguely similar if you're not paying attention.
I already had their In Chrysalis EP which was absolutely bugger all like the track on Daredevil, but the last track on that (Holiday in Cambodia) makes me laugh. Anyway, figured I'd give it a shot and get the new album seing as it was cheap and released by Wind-Up who are also responsible for Seether nowadays. Also it was cheap. Only a tenner from MVC. I was not dissapointed, it's a decent enough album. Tracks 2 and 6 and the hidden track at the end of 12 are probably my favourite parts, being the most ballad-like (yes, I can't resist those rock ballads, so sue me) but frankly it's all pretty darned good. There are moments of slightly gratuitous screamy-ness which it could probably do without, but the meodic parts make up for that.
There are one or two annoying things though.
1: There's no damn track listing on the box. You have to count through the lyrics to work out the name of the track you're listening to and that bugs me.
and 2: hidden bonus track... it's a good track it's just annoying having to wait through 2 minutes of silence to get to it.
And I know what you're thinking... why not fast forward those 2 minutes...?
*eh* no can do I'm afraid. They've rigged it so while it's really playing the extra long track 12, it's actually registering as being a 6 minute long countdown to track 13.
If you hit fast forward it just takes you right to track 13 which is 4 seconds of nothing.
Thankfully it's only 2 minutes, which is a darned site better than that one album where you have to wait like half an hour... I think that was the Smashing Pumpkins or something, but I do remember Charlie only discovered there was an extra track on there when she forgot to turn the stereo off after the CD *finished*.
Half an hour later and AAAGH! Shock of her life when the CD player starts off again of it's own accord... XD
Anyway, yeah, that's my album of the week. It's pretty much all I've listened to since Saturday, but I sure have listened to it a LOT...
Especially since LJ's being a freak and it's taken me nearly half an hour to upload this entry... :D
