Finally... they snapped
Apr. 13th, 2003 03:24 pm*LT opens new box of Ricicles, even through the last one is still only half empty*
I GOT A WOLVERINE TAG! I GOT A WOLVERINE TAG!! At long, long last...
*squeee*
Just as I was saying to my mum "I'm SO never going find one of them... it'll probably be Storm or somebody..."
But no, it was Wolvie... :D
My mum's releived, it means she can stop buying me random boxes of cereal.
Also, on the list of things happening today, the maternal unit has bought a new cooker. Our old one, as I think I mentioned before, has been having oven trouble for a while now so while she was out looking at random other things, she found a cooker she really liked that was on special offer and so... well... she got it.
Only problem is, it's literally twice the size of the old one...
It'll fit... just about, we think, if we take out one of the cupboards and squish the fridge and freezer up a bit... hopefully...
*looks uncertain*
Uh, anyway, we'll find room for it somehow cause it really is a lovely cooker... 2 ovens, grill, 4 hobs, heat drawer and a griddle... it's very much like the Caran Capri mum had in the 70's apparently, about which she still mourns today. (She really did love that cooker)
The boys are wrestling it into the garage at the moment until such time as it can be installed (read: until after we've finished hacking apart chunks of the kitchen) and there is much sweating and swearing going on outside.
John and JR are at each other's throats. Richard is egging them on and generally being a surly bastard (he wanted her to buy another fridge-freezer as well, because apparently two aren't enough... and he wants an ice-maker even though he doesn't live here) and me... I'm staying out of the way.
I think mum's in the process of placating them all by cooking bacon sarnies.
If in doubt, feed them and sometimes they stop bitching.

Good things come to those who wait :)
And we've been having quite a few chats with Michael over the past couple of days, is it okay to mail you privately sometime over the next day or so?
Little one's fifth birthday here tomorrow, so I'm not sure I'll get the chance then!
Re:

Thanks :)
My online time seems to be creeping up lately too.
It used to be "I wonder if there's anything decent on TV tonight?" Now it's "I wonder what everyone has been getting up to?" *g*
Re:
Date: 2003-04-13 03:10 pm (UTC)I have Wolvie, Cyke and Magneto. Like my keyring wasn't cluttered enough already...

I used to watch a LOT of TV... now I sit online and wait for stuff to happen. I'm not totally sure which is worse :p
Then again, TV drama seems so dull compared to the real life drama some of my friends seem to live in. It's like reality TV but you can delete the annoying people.

ROFL! I don't think I've ever seen it termed so perfectly!
Re:

*wishes she could delete pretty much the entirety of The Salon... has that not ended yet for crying out loud?*
Re:
Date: 2003-04-13 03:20 pm (UTC)I know, if you want a Professor X feel free to take one of my hands *g*

I mostly try and avoid it, it must be said.
I watch a lot of CNX because of the Evo re-runs, though if they don't start showing season 3 soon I'm going to scream. There's only so many times you can watch the first 2 seasons on loop.
And sometimes Fox Kids because it has Ulysess31 (highlight of my childhood) and the old X-men cartoons on... and Totally Spies which really shouldn't amuse me but it does. XD
My bro on the other hand would watch wall-to-wall Kerrang if I let him.

Yep! They have a habit of doing that with most things, just when it's nearing the end and you gear up for the next season they repeat it all over again :(

I've been watching those too *g* though its been difficult, Jared is just discovering the X-Men and likes to sit in fornt of the screen pointing out whose who. He hasn't yet realized it's not a childrens programme!
And I have a fixation with Dexter's laboratory *g*
Re:

But at least it does mean you stand a goos chance of getting all the really good episodes on tape. Managed to get Operation Rebirth this mornng for example. Just because Wolvie caressing cap's pod makes me laugh like a freakin' drain...

I have some of them on the official video tapes. They had a deal on in Poundstretcher last year just before christmas. I really should have gotten the rest of them but I couldn't quite afford it... but I do have the first 4 volumes which includes the Wolvercentric one. ;)

I have a weakness or Samurai Jack, personally. I think it's the tragic loner deal again... that and he loses his shirt pretty much every episode ;p
