Daily doings

lady_t_220It's taken me a little while to get round to writing this. Was out this morning by 9 and didn't get back till around half past four. As a consequence I have the evil headache from hell (too much sunlight... the daystar! it's BUUUUUURNS!) so I had a little flake out for a while.
Still pretty ouchie but I'm hoping the wonders of pain meds will kick in soon...
In a nutshell, picked up my comics (Ulti #31, Wolvie Xisle #1, 6 hours #4 and Gus Beezer with the X-men on a whim because it was cheap.)
Then found Woolies had the 6" Movie figures in... well that made me SQUEE in the middle of the shop (I never knew I could get that high pitched) and spend a big chunka' my money before the day even really started. Got both of them, the one with the wolf and the one on the battle sim podium doofah thing. Not taken them out of their boxes yet but I will do in a while... Battle attack Logan has a little belt buckle and everything. *looks at DD* Though he's lost his comedy moustache since they previewed them.
They're much MUCH more detailed than the last movie's figures but Maaaaaaaaaaaan, the faces are bad.
Battle attack Logan has a bobbly nose and the super poseable Wolverine just has a weird-lookin' face full stop. Take the nose form the Wolvie figure and stick it on the Logan and you might be getting somewhere. Anyway, their facial wonkiness was somethign I was already aware of. The interesting thing though, is that they both look pretty good IF you look at them from the right angle.
That would be right at the side, or right from the top. Looking at them face-on is just wrong.
*rolls eyes*
Went to the Closet after that, the goth shoppy place because the boywonder really wanted to see what the fuss was all about.
Well because we had Charlie with us and Charlie has lunch with Becky, the woman who runs the place, we ended up staying a bit longer than originally intended. (Charlie, or Hobbit as Becky knows her, gets a special staff-level discount just because she hangs around so much)
Well we got there a little before 12, left around quarter to 2 and between the 4 of us downed 2 bottles of wine without even blinking.
Before lunch.
In face in my case, technically before breakfast...
So that was fun. Talked a lotta' crap, heard the story of the time Becky bit her dentist and then refused to open her mouth for the next 45 minutes... while his finger was still stuck in there... (She was doped up to the eyeballs on Vallium at the time. Don't ask)
After that took a walk down to HMV and pootled around a bit, had a late lunch, looked at all the easter eggs and made a lot of lewd comments about Rachie, hollow chocolate bunnies and the merits of sucking their heads off...
Yeah, having one of those innuendo-packed days, though with Char that's a full-gone conclusion.
After that just kinda' came home and flaked out.
This headache still isn't easing and I have no idea who won the grand national yet... I should really go find that out.
