Which fandom squicks you?
None of the popular ones, to be honest. I've been told I'm notoriously hard to squick.
Crusing round Fanfic.net to reveal some of the less well known scrapings from the underside of the literary barrel can be quite revealing though.
Calvin and Hobbes quasi-furry slashdom I think was the last thing that gained a real *AAAAAGH! MY EYES!* response, and that was just from looking at the 1-line summary. I wouldn't touch it with a 50 foot pole.
In your favorite fandom(s), which pairings squick you?
There are pairings I avoid (Like Wolvie/Sabes, cause people... never.gonna.happen) but that's less squick and more eyerollingly unrealistic.
Xavier smut will cause a true squick response though, no matter who he's doing (Unless it's Magneto).
What type of story (lemon, torture, etc.) squicks you?
Virtually nothing so long as it's at least half-decent writing. Incest is a bit close to the mark I guess, but only if there's not even a vague attempt made to explain whyyyyyyy family members are boinking each other.
Again, it's more a suspension of disbelief problem than anything else, and if it's really well-written I can happily ignore the fact that they're supposed to be related somehow.
Does any type of pairing (het, slash, incest) squick you? If so, what?
Not really, no... I'm not KEEN on slash exactly but I have read a few that were pretty damned good. I have favourites and things I don't normally read because they just produce that eyeroll response, but not any one thing that gets me running the other direction.
Ok, well except maybe the whole zoophillia thing, cause doing it like they do on the Discovery Channel in a very real and literal sense is just naaaasty.

Do any characters squick you?
Xavier. Unless it's a flashback deal about him and Magneto. I tend to see him as the benevolant gay grandad. Had one passionate homosexual affair and hasn't been there since. He should be handing out sweets and toys to all the little rugrats, not luring them onto his lap for something more meaty. ~_^
I did and still do think of him now as kind of sexless, which is why his comic book relationship with Lillandra always made me laugh.
That and her hair looked like she was Londo from B5's stunt double or something, but that's beside the point.
Any other squicks?
Total lack of punctuation and paragraphing, but that's not a squick, that's a whinge.
Stories where people get spanked a lot but then don't get any sex afterwards, though that's also not a squick it's a complaint about unsatisfactory endings and some dodgy emotional playing around. The lack of affection bothers me, and while a bit of a spank that then leads to something else is fine, it's the spank and brush-off that I don't like. Just inflicting pain is an uneasy way of creating a turn-on.
And lastly...
Big hairy balls making slapping noises during sex. Who in hell ever thought that was an attractive mental image?
Any other thoughts to add on squicks?
Some of my college friends will swear this is true. There was a point where they were desperately trying to find anything that would squick me out. This was before I really found fanfic for myself, so musta' been back in '99/early 2000.
They really, really tried, sending me the things that made them squick the most, graphic Yaoi, kinky bits and bobs (Pokemon slash made me laugh my ASS off) and every single one of them I looked at I went "oh. HAHAHAHA!" and that was pretty much it.
I think there's only really been one story that gave a true, physical *SQUICK* response and that was one BDSM-ish story where the male character was a mystery till you got right to the end. You go through it thinking it sounds kinda' like Logan... maybe Scott at a pinch, but you get to the end and it was Xavier...
>.< *shudders*
Killed any kind of steamy glow that was around, I can tell you. Worked better than a bucket of cold water.
I remember, however, the first time I stumbled on fanfic. It was X-Men moviefic because I was cruising around looking for info on this Hugh Jackman guy and trying to find pictures of Wolverine and suddenly there it was!
Not unexpected (see Yaoi, mentioned earlier) because I was well aware of it's existance, both as a story medium and a thinly disguised excuse for porn, I just never found any I WANTED to read.
I remember the first place I stumbled on was the Wolvie's Wives site because it was one of the first things Yahoo chunred up when looking for Hugh, which I looked at for about 40 seconds, laughed like hell and clicked elsewhere.
It was mostly L/R I found after that, being right back when the movie first came out. Cause you'd be hard put to have found anything else at that time without REALLY looking for it.
I dabbled for an hour or so looking at the G through to R rated stories, skipping the NC-17 because every time I thought about it I just kept laughing. It seemed kinda' silly if you want the truth. It was a sort-of-action movie and now suddenly they're screwing like rabbits...?
Then I caved and I took a look at a PWP that caught my attention, thinking "Oh what the heck, it'll be good for a laugh."
So I read a bit and I giggled... and read a bit more and... giggled less... and read some more... and had totally stopped laughing... read some more and went "Ohhh mamma..." and by the time I got to the end of the story I was pitifully hooked.
Spent literally hours cruising around, passing through places till I landed up at the WXFO because at the time it was one of the best places to find Logan/OC fic (my taste at the time), and I been there pretty much ever since.
(Wow, that was a long and convoluted trip down memory lane...)
Over time your squick tolerance rises, y'know. Things that made me a little uneasy back then I just sail through now. Fic I thought was red-hot way back when is just hitting lukewarm if I'm really feeling complacent nowadays.
And no matter what, while reading smut is fun, writing smut is definitely better. ;)
