Random merch
Apr. 2nd, 2003 02:15 pmOh, I forgot... took Charlie home last night and she was showing me this big pile of stuff she'd gotten off Normie's friend Rocket Ron. He's a collector of *stuff* and every now and then he sells all his random collectable junk off and starts again.
Char got a load of Star Wars and X-Files trading cards along with other assorted anime, non-anime and weird random stuff, including an X-men related thing which she graciously said I could have because she didn't know what to do with it.
Me, I got no right clue exactly what it is, but let me try and describe it in case anyone out there actually knows what it might be or whether I'm sitting on anything nifty or randomly valuable (har har har).
OK, it's basically a print, with an X-logo mount, still wrapped in the cellophane. It's printed on either really thin brown plastic or glossy brown-coloured paper of some kind. Hard to tell through the cellophane, but it's as flexable as the cereal-box thickness card it's backed onto.
I'm opting for the glossy paper, personally...
Anyhoo, it's linked to the original animated series. The print looks like a comic book cover. It says X-men Adventures Season II across the top and Sinister Ceremonies across the bottom, with the picture showing Jean and Cyke being dangled off puppet strings by a giant Sinister while the rest of the X-men look on.
As I say, it's basically a TAS season 2 mounted print still in the shrinkwrap, however I've never seen anything specifically like it having never really dabbled in any TAS merch.
*eh* Well... I guess it can go and gather dust in with my comics because I don't know quite what to do with it either. XD
Lent her the Daredevil OST and my Seether album in return. Which she seemed happy with. Have to remember to get them back on Saturday when I go book the rail tickets for Bourneville.
