Mar. 31st, 2003 11:59 pmOh, before I forget...
First off, hey! No one told me you got to see Hugh doing push-ups... that's just... *nnguh*
Secondly, I love Bryan, he's so adorable... XD especially with that little kid who kept pointing in random directins and asking "What's that...?". I feel that exhasperation... kids do that to me too, only I usually try and extract myself a whole lot faster than he did.
Not had time to listen to the commentary yet though I did watch the behind the scenes bits on the movie disk. Also watched I think most of disk 2... I may have missed some things but there's only so much you can do in one afternoon before your eyes go all kerflooey. Have to have a poke around there later and see if there's anything I missed.
However, unlike the people who complain about the start of it being too long, I liked all of the production scrap book, even the meeting bits at the start. The movie-making process fascinates the heck out of me, always has, even the talky parts that don't neccesarily make total sense to the casual observer.
Love love love all the backstage footage and I have to say, the bits they filmed that didn't make it to the movie or got changed by the time they did the final cut? Fascinating stuff.
Especially that bit they lopped off the end of Storm's classroom scene where Logan comes to say hi to Rogue and tells her he won't be sticking around... then Jean says stuff to him and he changes his mind and walks off to follow her while toooooootally ignoring Rogue saying g'bye...
Man if that had been in the original cut I dread to think the amount of angst fodder it would have fed out there.
Heee, Hugh's expression when he saw his action figure... made me laugh. That and it was just painfully cute watching him feed Oscar. *gushes even though she generally hates kids*
Oh, and the sprat who suggested Logan claw Mystique *there* when she kicked him... see that's the answer I would have given at that age too... XD
Probably the answer I'd still give now to be honest, there's no point fighting fair if it just results in getting your ass kicked. Plus she already kicked him in the nuts, so I think fighting fair is out the window already.
Bloopers crack me up too, so anything involving falling over iddy biddy walls, getting hit in tender places by misplaced punches, bumping into scenery, people generally wandering around kicking things and bitching cause it's not working right... guarenteed to raise a smile ;)
I really hope Bryan's blooper reel is on the DVD for X2. I have the insatiable urge to see Hugh mince down that cerebro gangway, darnit!
And now I have to go to bed for I have work in the morning.

Date: 2003-03-31 10:56 pm (UTC)Basically, if you liked all the stuff they jammed onto those Lord of the Rings bonus disks, you'll probably enjoy this too.
You get to see all kinds of pointless stuff, like the choreographing of the statue of liberty fight scene, the cast bitching cause their leather suits are too tight and Patrick Stewart totallyfailing to say "She's at the train station" without cracking up.
So I would say Yes...
I got mine from WH Smiths. 15.99 as opposed to HMV's 17.99, or at least it was here in Leicester.
