Sep. 8th, 2010 02:06 pmMonitor has arrived and... we can't make it work.
*headdesk headdesk headdesk*
It's definitely getting power, and it seems to be responding to a signal going to it, but we're not getting any picture. Drivers are installed, it's XP compatible, it should work, but it does NOT. Not even the on-screen menu can be induced to appear- you know, the integral brightness/contrast options you can usually get to show even if it's getting bad video input? I got nothin', just blackness.
JR's got to go out and do something or other but he's going to try it on a different machine when he gets back and see if it's just being weird on mine or if it's potentially faulty.
I am woe :(
It is a sexy, sexy monitor and I really want it to WORK.

Date: 2010-09-08 01:56 pm (UTC)If it's NOT faulty, and I just can't make it work with my computer... well then there's a bigger problem. I can't afford to have dropped £100 on a monitor that works but just isn't compatible with my machine for some reason.
