Nerds, soap, and Starbucks
Sep. 2nd, 2010 09:11 pmOh, I forgot to add to my earlier post- walking back from town, I got complimented on my "Are you my mummy?" t-shirt by a guy on a motorbike who was stopped at traffic lights.
Yey nerds!
I suspect quite frequently that this bass ackwards part of the world is so cramed full of chavs that you could cruise through in an actual TARDIS and no one would have any clue what was going on. I'm always absurdly pleased when this proves not to be the case. Even if it is just a random guy on a bike at a traffic light.
Going out with
hobbit_chan tomorrow, I'm not entirely certain where. I think it has something to do with soap, but to be honest I've been half asleep all day, they could be taking me anywhere.
Next weekend though- I'm hanging at Kat's, meeting Anubis-the-not-quite-a-kitten and generally cruising the shopping up that way. Makes for a nice change of scene. And a chance to sate my craving for Starbucks as, given the previously mentioned bass-ackwardness of this town, we're probably the only place left in the UK that still doesn't actually have one.
