Post-aquatic slump
Sep. 2nd, 2010 06:07 pmSo... so... tired...
I wasn't tired after swimming though, I only stopped at 60 because my leg was cramping up like a bitch as it tends to do if I haven't been for a while, but now... now I am ker-pooped. Though that probably has something to do with getting not-as-much-sleep as I probably should have done lately. Which is entirely my own fault due to a tendency to stay up till 2am when I know the alarm's going off at 8 because that's when I have to get up most mornings.
Totally self-inflicted stupidity, no sympathy required.
Though we did accidentally get locked out of
gourami_tea's house this afternoon. She forgot her keys when we left for the pool and for the first time in ages, her grandpa decided he was going to go out somewhere on the spur of the moment. This was slightly problematic as all our stuff was in her house, including lunch.
We ended up sauntering into town, getting some snacky bits and pieces and then loitering in her garden for a while until her grandpa got home again a couple of hours later.
Mercifully the weather was good, the garden was shady and we had ferrets to entertain us with their scampering insanity. Less mercifully, the process of climbing over her back gate was... less than dignified if you have short damn legs like I do. Those ornamental wrougnt-iron scrolls are quite painful if you go at them from the wrong angle.
