Good crap it is pissing it down this morning. So much for August, eh? And yet despite that, I found myself on the most part hauled out of yesterday's rather dour outlook, which can only ever be a good thing.

And now...

Confession time!
BBC!Sherlock ficdom has eaten my brain. Or more accurately the [livejournal.com profile] shkinkmeme has, so as a warning to those who follow my fic archive [livejournal.com profile] den_of_folly, I'm going to be posting up my fills there with the rest of my fic, as and when I can get it beta'd.
(And apologies to anyone waiting for any more Wolver!Hugh or Richard Armitage character-fics, I have not abandoned them, you should see my WIP-heap, they're just sulking at me at present. More will be forthcoming as soon as I can work out how to finish them. Or in some cases, start them. Or in some cases, write them at all.)

I believe the family will be on their way over at some point. I keep forgetting it's Friday even though I was hauled out of bed at a rediculous time of the morning to drive the maternal to work. At least the insomnia fairy saw fit to leave me alone last night... which in retrospect may have a lot to do with my sunny mood this morning. Funny how that works.

Tell me about it. I've never read so much fan fiction in all my fandom life.

Did you watch Hawking yet?

I did!
I was surprised, though perhaps shouldn't have been, by what an incredible physical performance it was.
He was very, very good.
Also, adorable. I feel compelled to draw glittery little hearts over his happy!face.

That's what made it so great. You're expecting him to limp round and slur his words a bit, but the progression of it and the unbelievable execution come as a surprise. I'd heard he was good. I wasn't expecting him to be that good. Stupid me.

Unghalkdjfqoiwera that scene where he figures it all out. I just couldn't take it. Glittery hearts would've been apropos. Shame they didn't think of it!

I think that's kind of it, you expect a bit of limping but there was depth to the detail you don't usually get. I swear I lost count of the times I thought "Oh no, he's gonna' fall... he's gonna' fall... he's so gonna' fall..."
I don't usually get so genuinely concerned about whether someone's going to fall over or not.

haha. Very true. I found myself really concerned with his level of embarrassment and how he was feeling, like when he fell down the theatre steps or lost some extra level of motor control. I wanted to help, or give him a hug, or something, and I kept thinking you silly tit it's not real. (Well, it was real for the man himself, but you know what I mean.)

Ah. A testament to his ability as an actor, I reckon. So, so good.

It's a very inconvenient time for me to have found another person whose back-catalogue I feel the need to wade through. I still haven't made it all the way through the ESOL's yet cause I can't afford the DVDs. Where's my lottery win, darnit? I'm sure I'm due one by now... ;)
