Took John and the dog for a walk this afternoon. It was sunny so we spent a happy half hour sitting by the canal pondering the pointless things that run through our brains.
We took the long, rambling way home and stopped by the playground to monopolise the swings seeing as there were no children around.
(Well hey, you just gotta' play on the swings... that's what they're there for)
Was out for a good 2 hours all told I think. The dog was knackered by the time we got back.

Also stopped by the train station to get the forms for the combined rail/entry ticket to Bourneville... only they didn't have any on display and being a Sunday the ticket office was shut.
Bit of a wasted journey in all honesty but it got us out the house for a bit. Maggs, Paul and Dan are here see, so any excuse to get out for a while is a good one.
John's still lurking around in my room now actually. We've been watching a bunch of the Evo episodes I've recorded over the past week. I'm trying to get Operation Rebirth or Grim Reminder on video, only CNX aren't showing Evo in any kind of order at all. It's basically pot luck, so I just record all of them in the hopes of getting lucky.
I'm really waiting for the DVD release but I'm going to be waiting a while I guess.

*sniffs* I smell all outdoorsy now. The canal was really nice in this weather. Sunny enough to be warm but windy enough to be pleasantly cool... and obviously nowhere near hot enough to produce the stink usually associated with high summer.

Mum liked her mother's day card. It's becoming traditional. I forget it's mother's day until the evening before, panic, hastily knock out something in adobe, stick it in an envelope with a sarcastic note and give it to her as an ironic statement.
She likes it, oddly enough. She's never been big on the floral, poetic cards but she's been showing my photo-maniped print-out to anyone who'll listen.
It's just me with demon horns and the legend "Heaven won't take me, Hell's afraid I'll take over" on the front. It's also signed from her demon-spawned hellion she-devil.

The envelope said I was going to buy her something really nice but I spent the money on a 13" plastic Wolverine, so instead she gets a lovely photo of me (cause hey, it worked on granny).

She thought that was exceedingly funny. It's also true, because I did leave myself broke the other week by buying plastic Wolvies.
I can't help it, it's a compulsion ;p

Have to go hunt down the relevant info on the Bourneville ticket deal thing on the central train website now. *sighs*
