Jul. 28th, 2010 04:28 pmSo this is the unholy, yet strangely impressive, plate of Dora cupcakes we made in the microwave yesterday.
Everything is better with sprinkles.
Hit the library, found things I hadn't already read, and got placements for the maternal. Which, I didn't notice till after I'd been through the till, had the wrong barcode sticker on the back so I only got charged for a set of coasters rather than placemats. Which was awesome cause it was about a quarter of the price.
(I've been doing quite well in that regard lately. I'm kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop and get massively overcharged for something sooner or later.)
Though, bumped into one of the women that used to be at Church back in the days when I was obliged to partake of such things. The first question she asked was not "How are you?" or anything so polite, it was "Are you still living at home?" said with the kind of derision you usually reserve for the basement-dweller of stereotype.
Nice. Stay classy, it reminds me why I hate people.
Oh, and then my mother decided I should become a domestic science teacher and house-mistress in some posh girl's boarding school.
I said the only benefit to that scenario is that the gov't are still, just about, willing to pay you money to train to become a teacher, otherwise it sounded horrendous.

Date: 2010-07-29 09:27 am (UTC)Yeah, shes really funny, The Bug. Did Lizzy tell you about her evil cackle and the lady in the kiddie pool???
She also makes up delightful stories about trolls eating fairys while all their friends look on.
