lady_t_220Going out to lunch today aparrently. Gastro-pub variety. As a birthday thing for mum and JR given as mum's was last weekend and JR's is tomorrow.
The kids are dressed nice, K&BW are dressed nice, I'm grabbing an opportunity to wear heels so I'm dressed (reasonably) nice, mum looks like she got dressed in the dark, and JR looks like he never got un-dressed from yesterday.
*sigh*
I know sartorial elegence is not high on the elders' list of priorities for a Sunday morning but, you know... a little effort might have been nice.
That said, K&BW are late. Tut tut. Though to be fair there's like another half hour before we absolutely positively really genuinely completely have to leave so lateness in this case is a relative term.
Then again, I didn't get as far as breakfast this morning so I'm bloody starving aleady.
Edit: OK, so in their defence the elders did get changed last-minute and presented a sociably acceptable face. K&J turned up literally 2 minutes after I posted and we got there on time. And the food was good. And I had gin at lunch which always makes the world a beter place.
