lady_t_220Swimming with the kidlets was surprisingly fun. The Bug especially took to the whole thing like a... very aquatic metaphor to water. By the end of 45 minutes of her first time in a pool since she was a baby, she was juuuust on the cusp of doggie-paddling unaided already. I was genuinely impressed.
Aww, she takes after her auntie and is secretly half sea-monkey.
The Beany took a bit more persuasion, and didn't want to get in until everyone else had got in first and then clung to JR like a barnacle until he realised his little sister was getting all the praise for being an amazing swimmer and he wasn't. Plus he's tall enough now to reach the bottom of the kiddy pool with the water only up to his shoulders so once he figured all that out he was much better.
The Boo wasn't so keen at first, but he calmed down later. He seemed happier with me than with Kat but I think that may be because Kat's not so keen on water and he could probably tell. Me, I'd be semi-aquatic if given the options.
Swim, llama llama! SWIM!
Unrelatedly, still can't find my damn latex gloves, I think I'll break out the dye later but I may end up with somewhat purple hands for the next few days.
