Today, I made banana and peanut butter almost-muffins.
I say almost-muffins because I don't have any muffin cases at the moment so they wound up cupcake sized, which is too big to be a mini-muffin but too small to be a proper muffin so they're muffin-ish cupcakes instead.

Issues of spacial pedentry aside, it's based, more or less, on this base idea, but as I had a whole load of peanut butter and no peanut butter chips, I just globbed a bunch of stuff out the jar in with the mashed bananas and smooshed it until it mixed through.
Came out pretty good.
I've never actually made muffins before. They're a lot easier than cake.
This is worth knowing.

Although I might do it with less-chunky peanut butter next time.

I also melted too much butter in the process so I made it into lime and coriander butter for making seasoned potato wedges tonight.

I am currently FORCING my mother to SIT THE FUCK DOWN and rest. Because she's crap at being ill. She was complaining that the anti-virals make her sleepy, but the steriods are giving her insomnia, so instead of acting like a normal human being and either taking a nap or having a bit of a sit down with the telly on or something, she's cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom, dug half a dozen wheelbarrow loads of topsoil and complained every 26 seconds that she can't do marking because her eye keeps twitching.
*headdesks*
Then moans because she gets up in the morning feeling a bit better, but by the afternoon her face is numbing up again. I did point out that YOU HAVE A REFLUX OF SHINGLES IN YOUR FACE, YOU IDIOT, so of course any improvement was going to be tempered again if she keeps wearing herself out, but she is, honestly, the worst patient in the world.
I actively had to make her go and sit down, and stunningly enough within about 5 minutes she was asleep. Like she should have been at 3 o'clock this morning, rather than contemplating spring cleaning the kitchen in a bout of steroid-induced psychosis.

Tie her to her bed.

Do you guys even have peanut butter chips over there? I can send you some because, um, the likelihood is high that I will have things that will need mailing to the States soon. *cough*

As far as I know, I've never seen peanut butter chips here, but it worked fine with regular peanut butter as a substitute.

What are you going to need mailing out?

At some point, I'm going to have to cave and get Being Human S2 on DVD. And if I can find UK sellers of Kirby-covered Discworld books, it might work better to send them to you guys who can send it book rate rather than first class.

I would never just have stuff show up on your doorstep unannounced, though. "Oh! BTW, since they're alredy there, mind sending them on?" :P SO not gonna do that. Besides, Kat may have something headed this way anyway, so I'd make her do it. ;)

But I can still get you PB chips if you want to try them.

I wouldn't mind trying them for the next time I have an abundance of bananas... :)

You've got to send me an updated list of Kirby covers you're still after. I know you sent me one ages ago but I've no idea where I put it or how accurate it still is.

Basically, the only books I have WITH Kirby covers are: The Colour of Magic, The Light Fantastic, Equal Rites, Moving Pictures, Hogfather and one of the Bromeliad trilogy (don't remember which one, but I'm not really looking for those anyway). I still need everything else.

I'll endeavour to keep an eye out when I go book cruising.
