Andy fixed my car, because he is a God of all things automotive. It was the radiator, though it hadn't completely died it was on the verge of doing so, so that answers that.
I'll be damn glad to have my car back, all this walking really is an exhausting way to start your day, however there is one advantage. I always get inspiration on the bus.
I blame this entirely on the fact that I have nothing else to think about, therefore my brain turns to fic for a solid 15 minutes, which is more time than it usually gets in any given weekday.

Seemed to get through work at light-speed this morning, which is unusual cause the last few weeks everything has seemed to take absolutely forever. Seriously didn't want to get going this morning. Sat in the bar, nursing a cup of tea, contemplating the universe and generally not doing a whole lot of actual working. It took great force of will to actually lift my posterior off the barstool and go do all that stuff that they pay me for.
Though I will admit I skimped a bit on a couple of the rooms. Visually they're fine but I'm sick of wiping things off skirting boards/dado rails/bathroom lino, so bollocks to it basically. They'll get done tomorrow cause today... I just can't be bothered.

DD has a blow-by-blow of the X2 snippet from WB yesterday Here that has a few spoilers but not a lot more than has already been seen in the trailers. It mostly centers around the scene in Bobby's parent's house and made me squeeeeeee in excitement when I read it this morning before I left.
*dances madly*

SHOT IN THE HEAD! SHOT IN THE HEAD! My inner sadist is cackling madly.

Only a few more weeks... then I get holiday time, a visit from KAT aaaand X2 all in the space of a fortnight. Things are looking goooood...

R at work was saying how she was also in desperate need of a holiday. Her last job used to start and end at the same time as the school year so she's used to having half term weeks off and 8 weeks over summer... this is coming as a bit of a culture shock to the both of us. I've spent my whole life so far working only during term time, so only getting a few weeks a year when you're NOT working is distinctly a shock to the system.
I dread to think how exhausted I'd be if I actually worked full days.
I said to KAT a few days ago, this working for a living lark... it's highly overrated.

Just had a phone call from someone looking for my brother. Really weird accent... and I mean really weird. Sounded ever so slightly Indian but with an Irish twist. God knows who it was.

Still it makes a change from that guy who keeps ringing us, saying he's from Delhi and asking to speak to our stock buyer because they have a great deal on pre-fabricated ornamental metalwork parts.
*raises eyebrow*
He means my brother... who is one guy working out of a small industrial unit in Hinkley, he IS his own stock buyer... he's also not quite in a position to bulk-buy six thousand twisted cage finnials...

Well I didn't see it because it wasn't shown here, but I'll take your and DD's words for it. :D

Yeah... damn WB doesn't broadcast in this country.
That and they barely publicise movies over here anyway. A few magazine clippings, a couple of TV spot trailers and that's your lot...
It's a sad, sorry thing.

Bwahahaha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who is strangely excited about that. I think it's because I've seen him subjected to just about everything you can imagine in the comics and fanfic, but in the movies he's mainly just been beat up.

The prospect of some variety in his physical abuse is a strangely appealing one...
